Hello, friends!
October is a beautiful time to visit Smith Mountain Lake, with crisp fall weather, colorful foliage, and plenty of fun events happening around the lake!
The SML Charity Home Tour returns October 9–11. This popular annual event gives you the chance to explore stunning waterfront homes accessible by both lake and land, all while supporting local charities.
The Fall Rodeo takes place October 17, followed by the Shorefire Trail Races on October 18. Both are great ways to enjoy the outdoors and take in the best of the fall season at Smith Mountain Lake.
And as Halloween approaches, local spots like Portside Grill and Bar and Tiff’s Lakefront will be celebrating with costume parties, live music, and plenty of weekend fun to close out the month.
Our buddies at Smith Mountain Lake Insiders have put together a comprehensive list of SML events, festivals, and live music performances for October. To make the most of your time at SML, be sure to check out their list and plan your visit accordingly!
