Our clients and local charity organizations alike have put our heavy-lifting team member, Smitty, to good use all around Smith Mountain Lake.
Deb Beran Properties clients can use Smitty to make the moving process easier, and the truck is often lent to area charities such as the Discovery Shop, Lake Christian Ministries and the annual Smith Mountain Lake Charity Home Tour.
Smitty is a 15-foot bed truck large enough to fit furniture and bulky items, but is not difficult to drive and maneuver. The truck is available for moves within a 300-mile radius around Smith Mountain Lake.
Dear Deb, Thank you so much for loaning your fabulous truck to SML Good Neighbors., Inc, so we could retrieve the furniture for our interns. We were very fortunate that Larry lives next door to Dave! We had talked about pick-up truck and trailers, but your truck was terrific. Our community is fortunate and benefits from your generosity! Thank you for your dedication to those in need!
– Fondly, SML Good Neighbors
Special Thanks

Dear Deb, Wishing you a Merry Christmas and thanking you for your generous donation of your truck to the Jersey Girls of Smith Mountain Lake for our yard sale this past year! We were able to donate $10,000 to five area animal shelters, $6,000 from our yard sale!
– Warmest Regards, Kathy Hoffman and the Jersey Girls of SML
First, let me start with what a blessing you are to the Smith Mountain Lake community. The ability to use the truck this weekend to entertain folks on Saturday at Eastlake Community Church to raise money for the non-profit “Grand Plan” group was such a God-send. You have no idea how much we appreciate it. Between ticket sales and additional pledges, multiple thousands of dollars were raised yesterday.
Second, let me also say that we absolutely LOVE living at Smith Mountain Lake. Having lived here for about 25 years now (the last 6 being full time), we are always astounded by the people here. You are one of those people. The service you provide to the lake is outstanding! I can’t thank you enough for all your help to the local non-profits.
