As we prepare to have our Thanksgiving dinner some are anticipating the black Friday sales. While I cannot contest that there are good deals to be had on black Friday I prefer small business Saturday. This is an annual event held on Saturday, November 26th, 2016.
What a great way to get out and support our local small businesses. For me the small town charm in Westlake, downtown Rocky Mount and Bedford start off my Winter season. Walking down the sidewalk with the new cool crisp air just says the Holiday season is upon us. Many small businesses put on special sales for this day to drive business. The Bedford County Chamber of Commerce is really looking to take advantage of this day. Many of the small businesses in the county are participating in this one day event. The event will include a drawing that will take place on December 1st, 2016. To get entered into this drawing all you need to do is get out there and shop. Snap a selfie in front of the many participating businesses and post on social media. Be sure to #BACClocal and you will instantly be entered into this drawing for a variety of prizes. Each selfie posted will count for 1 entry so if you post 5 selfies at 5 different participating businesses each one counts! Here is the list of the places you need to visit:
