I am thrilled to announce that Peg Wheeler, who has been an administrative assistant for Deb Beran Properties since 2019, recently earned her real estate license and has begun a new role as a buyer’s specialist.
Peg is one of the most thorough, detail-oriented people I’ve ever worked with so I have the utmost confidence she will be an outstanding REALTOR®.
In her new role, Peg will assist buyers in understanding the buying process and finding ideal properties to match their wants, needs and budget. She will also submit and negotiate offers and refer buyers to reliable professionals to ensure a smooth transaction.

Peg will continue with her duties as a statistical analyst for Deb Beran Properties, compiling monthly market analysis reports for the Smith Mountain Lake real estate market and creating comparative market analyses for sellers.
“Making sure clients have accurate figures and information about properties they’re considering is critical to the process,” Peg said. “My experience digging deep into data for the SML market the past three-plus years will be a great benefit to clients so they’ll feel prepared and confident when it’s time to make an offer.”
Prior to moving to Smith Mountain Lake, Peg worked for 36 years in the accounting and finance department for IBM at its offices in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina. She has two married daughters and four grandchildren.
