And just like that, the world is now bound together in one common goal — to not let this virus take us down.
Please know that The Beran Team is available to help. We want to be a resource to our clients and the Smith Mountain Lake community through good times and bad. If you and your family are in need of assistance, please reach out and let us know how we can help.
Here are a few simple ways we hope to be of assistance:
Video conferencing
Just because we can’t meet face-to-face doesn’t mean we can’t stay in touch!
Let’s meet via video conference using Zoom, Skype or FaceTime. I’m happy to discuss buying, selling or anything else you’d like to chat about. Just call, text, email or send a Facebook message. I’m here! 👋
Virtual home previews
As long as safety permits, I am happy to take video tours of homes you’re interested in seeing and email them to you. Preview my listings here or search the whole MLS.
Below is an example of a virtual tour I did for a listing at 127 Freeboard Drive in The Waterfront, which I can now share it out to clients, prospects and fellow real estate professionals.
And the beauty of it is, they can view it any time from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Live video home tours
At least for the time being, we’re able to do live tours via FaceTime by appointment.
Prior to entering a home, we vet homeowners to make sure they have not exhibited any COVID-19 symptoms, have not cared for anyone sick or traveled in the past 14 days. We also heed the following precautions:
- Before entering home we remove shoes and wash hands (or use hand sanitizer)
- We have the homeowners turn on all lights to reduce the number of surfaces we have to touch
- We take wipes and wipe off anything we do have to touch
- We ask the homeowners to stay at least six feet away, preferably out of the house all together
- We wear protective masks
Of course, all of this is subject to change on a daily basis as our first priority is to keep everyone safe.
Social media sharing for your business or non-profit
As you may know, I am a huge advocate for supporting the amazing Smith Mountain Lake community.
To help in these difficult times, I can share promotional posts about your local business on my Facebook community page, Smith Mountain Lake Lifestyle & Homes. Please follow if you don’t already!
I am also happy to promote the good works being done by our neighbors, businesses and non-profits to help raise awareness and strengthen our community.
For example, have you heard of The Landing Love Project? My friends and restaurateurs Bruno and Tiffany Silva are using their skills and resources to feed at-risk families and seniors at Smith Mountain Lake. AWESOMENESS!
Providing local resources
In addition to Smith Mountain Lake Lifestyle & Homes, here are some other area Facebook pages doing a great job of sharing local info and resources, including ways you can help.
- Smith Mountain Lake Regional Chamber of Commerce
- We Shop Local SML
- SML Local Restaurants
- Residents of SML
Sharing other helpful materials
I realize everyone is being bombarded with information related to coronavirus, but there are resources I have access to that could be of help to you and your family.
For example, take a look at this downloadable Home Emergency Preparation Checklist. It’s a great addition to any home, even under normal circumstances.
I’ve also got tips on how to create functional spaces in your home during the coronavirus outtbreak. I mean, if you’re going to stay home you might as well be productive, right?
And if you need a new series to binge, I put together this fun Netflix Binge Watch Checklist that you can download as a printable PDF.
I’m ready to help. Just ask!
These are just a few of the ideas The Beran Team has brainstormed to help keep our business, your real estate needs and the SML community at large moving forward. Of course, we’ll continue to adjust as necessary in the coming weeks.
If you have other ideas on how we can continue to serve you, or if you have any needs or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me via phone call, text or email.
I’m ready to help. Just ask!
